Recommended: install from Google Play for automatic updates. Already using the APK? The two builds are signed with different keys, so Android can’t update in place — uninstall the APK first, then install from Play. Imported dictionaries will need re-importing after the switch.

Browser Extension

Chrome / Firefox Beta

Look up selected words and translate sentences on any web page — right-click menu offers both, results show in a draggable, pinnable, resizable popup. MDict dictionary cards and audio are included in this beta. AI translation uses your locally paired VocabDict desktop app. Pair it from Settings → Browser Extension.

Download & unzip, then in Chrome: chrome://extensions → enable Developer mode → Load unpacked → pick the unzipped folder.
In Firefox: about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on… → pick the .zip itself (temporary — it unloads on restart until we ship a signed build).
Open the extension's Options page and paste the pairing string from the app's settings tab.
